Episode 9 of GoLion opens with a panning shot of space (Figures 1 & 2). A ship then flies into the shot (Figure 3) ... |
... and heads toward an off-screen Planet Altea (Arus) (Figure 4). |
As the girl (Twyla) is about to recount her escape from Galra (Doom), Kogane (Keith) and Chibi (Pidge) step up to her bed (Figure 5), which was trimmed from Voltron. |
At the end of their battle, GoLion slices the Beastman in half (Figure 6). A streak of blue light flashes across the screen against a black background (Figure 7), signalling GoLion's slicing of the Beastman. The dismembered Beastman falls back (Figure 8), eventually exploding and meeting his demise. |
After witnessing the death of the Beastman, the girl (Twyla) collapses (Figure 9). A few seconds later, the camera cuts to an upwards panning shot of a mountain where Seidou (Hunk) has caught up with the girl (Twyla) (Figures 10 & 11). |
The girl (Twyla) says some parting words to Seidou (Hunk) (Figure 12) and then leaps off the mountain, committing suicide (Figure 13). Seidou (Hunk) yells down after the girl (Figure 14), but it's too late. |
The camera cuts to an aerial view of the mountain side (Figure 15), bringing the scene to a close. |
As the day comes to an end, the Altean (Arusian) sun can be seen setting over a mountainous horizon (Figure 16). The camera then pulls back to reveal Seidou (Hunk) atop the mountain holding a private memorial service for the girl (Twyla), a cross erected in her memory (Figure 17). Resting against the cross is a wreath (Figure 18). |
As he prays silently, Seidou's (Hunk) friends arrive (Figure 19). They watch in silence, Kogane (Keith) looking at the sky (Figures 20 & 21). |
The episode comes to a close with an aerial pull back shot of the GoLion team atop the mountain (Figures 22 & 23). |
