As the episode opens in GoLion (Figure 1), two vultures fly past the Galra castle (Figure 2). After a groupe of slaves fall behind, the slavemaster whips them as punishment (Figure 3). |
One of the whipped slaves takes a blow to his face (Figure 4). |
During the gladiatorial fight, several Beastmen lose their lives. The first one is stabbed square in the chest (Figure 5) and lets out an anguised cry (Figure 6) before dropping to the ground dead. The next Beastman is fatally stabbed in his neck (Figure 7). |
A horrified spectator turns to her partner for comfort (Figure 8). Another Beastman is killed in the course of the fight, his body sliced in half (Figure 9). After tossing the last remaining Beastman aside, the winning Beastman approaches his injured off-screen opponent (Figure 10). |
On his knees and weary, the injured Beastman realises his opponent is coming in (Figure 11). He gets to his feet and raises his sword in a defensive position (Figure 12), but the winning Beastman easily knocks it aside and stabs the injured Beastman in the neck (Figure 13). |
With his opponent's sword still embedded in his neck, the injured Beastman drops his weapon and squirms in agony (Figure 14). After the sword is pulled out from his neck, the now fatally wounded Beastman falls to the ground dead (Figure 15). |
When Red Lion attacks a Galra (Doom) ship with his Lion Knife, the blade slices through the ship (Figure 16) and slashes the pilot (Figure 17), killing him. After his Lion is tossed aside by the Mecha Beastman, Seidou (Hunk) struggles to regain control of his ship (Figure 18). |
After Kogane (Keith) makes a comment, the camera pulls back to reveal a split-screen shot of him and his team mates (Figure 19). In her father's crypt, Farla (Allura) takes a step forward towards the tomb (Figure 20). After firing a few shots at the Beastman, Farla (Allura) utters a few words (Figure 21). This shot wasn't cut from Voltron but was trimmed down -- we never see the mice with their hands up to their mouths. |
The Mecha Beastman dodges several more laser fire shots from Farla (Allura) (Figure 22), who then accidentally almost hits GoLion (Figure 23). Farla embarassingly reacts to her goof-up (Figure 24). |
After GoLion brings his sword down, the blade starts slicing through the Mecha Beastman's head (Figure 25). This shot wasn't cut from Voltron but was trimmed -- we never see the blade start to slice down the Robeast's head. |
The close-up of the Mecha Fortress (Figure 26) was trimmed from Voltron. After Farla makes her short speech, the mice bow their heads (Figure 27). The episode then comes to a close with a shot of GoLion standing near the Mecha Fortress (Figure 28). This shot wasn't cut from Voltron but was trimmed to eliminate Japanese text that appeared on-screen seconds later, which made the castle less visible in Voltron. |
